SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. Behind these three words, there lies a vast technique that helps to achieve the objective of every Web Master i.e “Higher traffic to the website”.

Search Engine Optimization can either be defined as a process/method or a technique which aims to drag the audience to your website. The more the visits to your website, the greater the online earning one will receive. Search engine optimization is crucial to any website as without SEO, there will be no one to see or visit the site you built. It can also be considered as an online promotion.

  • Off-page SEO

This is the most popular type of SEO that almost every webmaster use for getting traffic. On-page SEO means getting traffic to a website working online. It includes the following;

  • Link building

It means writing a unique/ qualitative/ keyword rich content. There might be confusion that what do I mean by a unique / qualitative and a keyword rich content?

  • A unique content is a content that none other site has such a content. A unique content is also a Plagiarism free content.
  • Qualitative content means that the words used in the contents should be worthy and helpful.
  • A keyword rich content is a content where the use of keywords are done properly.

Writing a content requires skills and excellent English plus a creative mind that will then make the article worthy. A good content seeks attention of a higher traffic, i.e excellent SEO.

Link building in On-page SEO means building internal links. This means inserting the link of the previous page to the current page. This would catch the eyes of the audience that will then increase traffic to the previous page as well as to the current page.

Off-page SEO

This isn’t much popular but used by millions of people as it contributes 75% for dragging traffic to a website. This is considered as the secondary type of SEO as without On-page SEO, Off-page SEO can be done. The common things that an Off-page SEO includes are as follows;

  • External link-building

Social media marketing

This includes sharing links of your website to every social media networks. The most common type of social media networks are as follows;

  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn
  • Twitter
  • Hubpages
  • Pinterest


External link-building

This means getting links from other websites. This is also commonly known as getting Backlinks from high page ranking websites which ultimately helps in getting traffic to your website.
